In home documentary photographer, Natasha Grech, on the importance of photographing your ordinary days.
A day in the life session is the most soulful, nostalgic way to celebrate your family exactly as you are. A beautiful reminder of the magic in your ordinary, everyday moments.
Yes, it can be hard to see sometimes, when you’re in the thick of it and life is pulling you in all directions. Getting caught up in the rush and the demands of parenting is easy to do. I promise, the magic is there though, perhaps you just need a little nudge to rediscover it?
I joined this family on a regular Saturday at home. A slow morning & pancake breakfast followed by an adventure to their happy place in the trees. Of course, the time I spent with them was punctuated by moments of hilarity, big feelings and outright chaos. These moments are always welcomed, expected and – in all honesty – the moments I look forward to most. A reflection of what life is really like, tucked away from the expectations of outside world, a celebration of your humanity.
I’m here to hold space for you to be exactly who you are and make a record of your life exactly as you know it. It’s about more than just pretty pictures. It’s about making memories that take you back & remind you what life felt like at that time, not just how it looked.
Memories of home & each other. The beauty & chaos, the details of everyday life. These are the family photos that foster a sense of place & belonging, connection & love. These are memories to look back on together, to tell your children the stories of their childhood.
These are the little moments, that really are the big ones.
